Jan 01,  · The album begins with the Industrial Revolution suite which comprises Ouverture and then parts 1 through 3. Ouverture has a cool mechanical rhythm to it and a melody that in its way is almost ominous. But it's incredibly catchy as far as I'm concerned. There isn't much music that really gets my blood racing, but this and Oxygene II did just that/5(71).

Jarre takes a look at the industrial revolution, the '68 era, political revolutions etc. It might have resulted in a nice little concept album with Jarre's trademark electronic sound. The truth, though, is that Revolutions has to rank among his weakest efforts ever.

Nov 19,  · If we look closer, REVOLUTIONS is not among the worst musical dish post-electro cosmic from Jean Michel Jarre. But I believe that it's a precursor album with its slamming percussions and mostly with these metallic synth breezes which bring such an industrial scent and will inspire a multitude of artists.
